VISION
Neo set out to reimagine home entertainment and control - combining TV, cloud storage, gaming, and smart home functionality into one seamless ecosystem.
The mission: build a unified experience tailored to the Slovenian audience, accessible via set-top boxes, mobile apps, tablets, and voice interfaces — all while competing with global platforms like Apple TV, Google Home, and gaming stations.

MY ROLE
As Lead Product Designer, I was responsible for:
Owning the full design strategy across all product verticals
Managing cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, marketing, and hardware teams
Leading UX/UI design for key surfaces: TV interface, mobile companion apps, smart home control, cloud storage, and game browsing
Creating a design system that scaled across devices and use cases
Validating flows through usability testing, stakeholder alignment, and user research


Challenges
Designing for multi-modal interfaces: remote, voice, touch, and gestures
Balancing feature richness (TV, storage, gaming, smart devices) with simplicity for a mass-market audience
Localizing content and interactions for Slovenian cultural and behavioral patterns
Ensuring accessibility for a diverse user base — from teens to elderly users

IMPACT
Neo became one of the most widely used smart home platforms in Slovenia enabled Telekom Slovenije to compete directly with global platforms in their home market.
